About SalaryTools

Clear answers to the question "what is my pay actually worth?"

SalaryTools is a small, free collection of pay calculators built to turn confusing compensation numbers into figures you can act on — no sign-up, no spreadsheets, no data leaving your device.

Why we built this

Pay is quoted a dozen different ways — an annual salary in one job ad, an hourly rate in the next, a day rate from a recruiter, a monthly figure on a payslip. Comparing them in your head is hard, and a wrong guess can cost you real money when you accept an offer or set a freelance rate. We built SalaryTools so anyone can convert between those formats in seconds and see the take-home reality behind the headline number.

Every tool is designed to answer one clear question well, rather than bury you in options. Type a number, and the answer counts up instantly.

What you can do here

How we handle your data

All calculations run in your browser using plain JavaScript. The salary, hours and other figures you enter are never sent to a server, stored, or shared — when you close the tab, they're gone. There are no accounts and nothing to sign up for.

About our estimates

Our after-tax figures use approximate 2025 US federal single-filer tax brackets, Social Security and Medicare rates, and a flat per-state estimate. They're built to give you a realistic ballpark, not a filed return. Your actual pay depends on your filing status, deductions, benefits and local taxes, so treat every number here as an estimate — not tax or financial advice. Read the full Terms & Conditions for details.
